9-12-17

The past has been mourned
The salty reservoirs burst at the seams
Flooded my heart-home
I thought they would never drain

But they have!
And then the rain!

Washed the gutter’s salty residue
Clean and wet
The sun makes it sparkle:
And the dewy web
No longer needed
For the waters have receded!

And I wait in the peaceful resonance
Enjoying the sun on my face
And the refreshing space
To create
But instead of shoes; SKATES!
Because I’m ready
To ride the wake
That comes my way
